DISCIPLESHIP

In navigating life, we understand that it can be messy and full of tough decisions. We seek God's wisdom and counsel to guide us.  We look for opportunities to share His Word with others so they, too, may grow in a relationship with Him providing grace and forgiveness to the lives of others.

Small groups

In small groups, we grow in understanding His love for us and His direction for our lives.

On Monday evening at 6:30 p.m., a group of ladies spend time together and in God's Word.  The group is growing in their understanding and how to apply His Word to their life.

Moms in Prayer for college-aged and children with careers meets at Journey.  They pray for their children, their faith, their relationships, their values and standards, and provide support and encouragement to each other.

Cross Training  meets every Tuesday night.  The group of men is focused on improving men spiritually, physically, and relationally; challenging each other to be more intentional with their faith, family, and fitness.

An average 3 Sundays a month, the combined group of fourth, fifth, sixth graders and confirmation students come together after worship to grow in God's Word.  The year concludes with Confirmation Sunday in May.

Home Groups

In our home group gatherings, Journey has embraced and incorporated 5 questions that help us see God in our every-day life.  They are designed to establish and enrich our relationships with each other and with God:

1.  How did I see God at work in my life this week?
2.  What has God been teaching me in His word?
3.  What spiritual conversations am I having?
4.  What good can be done in our community?
5.  What do we need to pray about?

From Greg Finke's "Joining Jesus on His Mission."

Through missional living, the people of Journey make a difference in our communities as we love and serve with generosity and compassion.
